Effect of Micro-environment Regulation Mode Around Root Zone on the Soil Property and Root Growth of Apple Trees

Abstract:

In order to further reveal and perfect the theoretical basis of micro-environment regulation modetwelve-year-oldRed Fujiapple treesrootstock Malus ´ hupehensis Rehd.in field were used to study the changing of the soil physical propertysoil fertilitysoil enzyme activitiesroot activity and root architecture. The results indicated thatcompared with the normal fertilization managementthe treatment of micro-environment regulation decreased the soil bulk densityincreased the soil porosity and enhanced the soil field capacity of 040 cm soil layer which was the root concentrated distribution layerand improved the water content of different soil layer especially during the period of drought. The micro-environment regulation treatment increased nutrient contenthad a great effect on increasing the content of organic matteravailable N and rapidly available Kand still maintained a high level for three years. The root activity and root density of the micro-environment regulation treatment were significantly higher than that of controland the effect of increasing the biomass of 01 mm diameter root was the most obvious. Compared with composited soilthe buffer system treatment improved the environment of the surrounding soil through the moisture absorption of the brick which further improved the effects on soil and roots.
