Abstract: ‘Qianla 16’is a new kind of three-line hybrid pepper bred by crossing cytoplasm male sterile line of 18172A as female parent and inbred line of 1-44C as male parent，which showed conical fruits，green immaturenut fruit，red ripen fruit，smooth and glossy fruit surface，5.32 cm in length，2.17 cm in width，7.41 g in average weight，2 192 mg · kg-1 in vitamin C content，0.028% in capsaicine content， resistance to anthracnose and blight，19 490 kg · hm-2 in fresh pepper yield，highly adaptability in spring of Zunyi region of Guizhou Province.
