A New Potato Cultivar‘Dayu 6’

Abstract: ‘Dayu 6’is a high-yielding,high quality and highly resistant variety bred,through selfing and selection from the parent‘Hezuo 23’. The growth period is 86.4 days. The plant had strong growth potential. The plant height is around 60.4 cm. The tuber type has oblate shape,light yellow skin,yellow flesh,and shallow bud eye. The potato is concentrated. The tuber dry matter content is 161 g · kg-1 FW,starch content is 107.4 g · kg-1 FW,protein content is 19.7 g · kg-1 FW and vitamin C content is 155 mg · kg-1 FW. The cultivar is resistant to late blight and highly resistant to virus disease.Suitable for cultivation in plain areas and mid-high mountain ecological zones in Sichuan Province,as well as analogous ecological zones.
