A New Mid-Late Ripening Yellow Apple Cultivar‘Qinxiangyu’

Abstract: ‘Qinxiangyu’is a new mid-late ripening yellow apple cultivar selected from the progenies of‘Cameo’בHoneycrisp’. The fruit is nearly cylindrical,the fruit shape index is 0.86,and the average single fruit weight is 396.73 g,which is a large fruit shape. The unbagged fruit is yellow,with smooth fruit surface,no fruit powder,medium wax,and medium fruit size. The flesh is light yellow,crisp texture,no residue,rich juice,sweet and sour taste,rich flavor,aroma,fruit hardness 7.55 kg · cm-2,soluble solids content 14.4%,total acid content 4.53 g · kg-1. It matures in early October in Luochuan,Shaanxi Province. It is a mid-late ripening variety with high yield and strong continuous fruiting ability. The average yield of 6-year-old trees is 59 730 kg · hm-2. It can be cultivated in apple suitable areas.
