A New Pear Cultivar‘Wanli 7’

Abstract: ‘Wanli 7’is a new pear cultivar bred through hybridization,with‘Zaosheng Xishui’as the female parent and‘Dangshan Suli’as the male parent. The fruit is flattened-round,and the fruit shape index is 0.83,with a yellow-green peel,little rust,evenly distributed fruit dots,detached sepals,and shallow calyx depressions. The average single fruit weight is 348.5 g. The core is small,with a core index of 0.26. The flesh is white,crisp and juicy,with low stone cells and a sweet taste. The soluble solids content is 13%,soluble sugar content of 6.3%,and titratable acidity of 0.09%. In Dangshan area,the fruit matures in mid-August,and the ripening period is about 20 days earlier than‘Dangshan Suli’. The yield during the peak fruiting period 33 000 kg · hm-2.
