Abstract: ‘Jinyuanqie7’is a new F₁ hybrid of eggplant developed by crossing the inbred line 339-1-2-1-1 as the female parent with the inbred line 336F12-1 as the male parent. The plant is semi-erect,with the first flowering node at the 6th to 7th leaf. The average single fruit weight is about 570 g. The fruit is nearly round,with black-purple skin that has a glossy appearance. The flesh is yellow-green,fine-textured,and has good taste and commercial quality. It is early-maturing,highly disease-resistant. The yield is 87 000 kg ꞏ hm^-2. It is suitable for open-field cultivation in eggplant-producing areas of Shanxi Province.
