A New Citrus Cultivar‘Haojing 1’

Abstract: ‘Haojing 1’is a promising new citrus cultivar derived from a cross between‘Harumi’(seed parent)and‘Orah’(pollen parent). The fruit is oblate,with an average weight of 185 g. The rind is orange with a glossy surface;the flesh is orange-colored,crisp,tender,and juicy. The fruit is easy to peel and has few seeds(averaging fewer than four per fruit). It contains 14% soluble solids and 0.6% titratable acidity. The cultivar is high-yielding and consistent in production. In the Meishan region of Sichuan Province,fruit matures in early January.
