A New Cultivar of Vegetable Wolfberry‘Ningqicai 3’

Abstract: ‘Ningqicai 3’is a new cultivar of vegetable wolfberry obtained through a hybrid population of Xinbianhao 9(mother)and‘Tianjing 3’(father). Its leaves are green,broadly lanceolate,with a length-to-width ratio of 2.9. The veins are clear and the tips are gradually pointed. The total biomass was 64 684.5 kg · hm-2,the crude protein content was 325.7 g · kg-1,and the stem tip(5 cm)yield was 2 040.6 kg · hm-2. Compared with‘Ningqicai 1’,it shows advantages such as high survival rate,strong growth vigor and large growth volume. It is suitable for the development and application of wolfberry bud tea and sprout vegetables.
