Abstract: ‘Jingmei 10K03’is a new mid-maturity，high-quality and high-yield watermelon hybrid bred by crossing Jing XYW as female parent and Jing RWF as male parent，with the help of molecular marker assisted breeding of resistant and high quality genes. The total growing period is about 95 d and the fruit development period is about 35 d. The fruit is oval. The shape index is 1.3；Its rind is green with narrow dark green strips. The non-watersoaked red-colored flesh is crisp with good taste，and the center soluble solids content is about 12%. The fruit has durable rind for transportation，about 1.0 cm thickness. The hybrid is resistance to Fusarium wilt and tolerance to anthracnose. The average fruit weight is more than 10 kg and the yield is about 90 000 kg · hm-2.‘Jingmei 10K03’has strong adaptability for simplified management and transportation and is suitable for culture in protection and open area in spring.
