Abstract: The new Agaricus bisporus cultivar‘Fumo 48’，which is special for industrialized cultivation with high production and short period，was obtained by cross-breeding of the sterile homokaryons derived from As2796 and A15. Its mycelia on PDA is flattered，and can grow under the temperature of 10–32 with optimal temperature of 24 ℃ –28 . Its fruiting temperature is 12 ℃ –20 ℃ with optimum of 16–18 . The harvesting time is ℃ 2–3 days earlier than that of As2796. The fruitbodies are scattered，3.0–5.0 cm in diameter，tight and round，with good quality. The caps are pure white with lightly squamate surface，and the browning resistance is much stronger than those of W192 and As2796. Under suitable cultivation conditions，its average production is similar to foreign main cultivar A15， 20%–25% higher than that of As2796. This cultivar is suitable for year-round modern farm cultivation， and the mushroom is suitable for fresh marketing.
