Abstract: ‘Xiaoxue’is a new melon hybrid cultivar with superior quality. The fruit-shape is oval. The fruit skin is white-yellow with streaks，covered with dense reticulation. The weight of single fruit is 1.0– 2.0 kg. The orange flesh is crisp. The central soluble solids content is above 16%. The whole growth period is 95–105 days，and the fruit development period is 38–45 days. The yield is about 27 500–30 000 kg · hm-2. It is suitable for protected cultivation in Shanghai and surrounding areas in spring and autumn.
