Abstract: ‘Weihong 16’is a new tomato cultivar selected from the cross of inbred line 503066 × 505221. The cultivar is infinite growth type，with strong plant growth vigour and high uniformity. Its successive fruit setting ability is strong. The fruit is high oblate，multi ventricular and uniform in size. The average single fruit weight is 204.2 g. The mature fruit is bright red，evenly colored，and good flavor， containing about 5.1% of the soluble solids content，60 mg · kg-1 of lycopene，and 200 mg · kg-1 of vitamin C. The plant is resistant TYLCV，Fusarium wilt and root-knot nematode. The yield in spring is about 124 722 kg · hm-2. It is suitable for spring open field cultivation in Ningxia irrigation areas.
