Abstract: ‘Huafeng 1’is a new strawberry cultivar derived from a cross between‘Sweet Charlie’ （female parent）and‘Hongtaihou’（male parent）. The fruit is long conical with red peel，good surface with bright luster and less deformed fruits. The flesh is red with a bit soft texture and small hole in pith. The average weight of the fruits on the first-order is 38.9 g，the largest fruit is 85.6 g. The fruit tastes is sweet with some sour. The contents of soluble solids，total sugar and titratable acid are 11.20%，7.69% and 0.60%，respectively. The fruit firmness is 1.04 kg · cm-2. The planting time is in early September in Zhengzhou，Henan Province，and then the fruits begin ripeness in mid-to-late December. The yield is 41 250–45 000 kg · hm-2. The plants are quite strong stress resistance and tolerance to salt and alkali，thus are easy to propagate seedlings.
