Abstract: A novel cold tolerant Hemerocallis cultivar‘Xuan Cai Ju Hong’. Using H.‘Xuecheng'as the maternal parent，‘Xuan Cai Ju Hong’is obtained by collecting open pollinated seeds and selecting them through seedling breeding. Its flower is cup-shaped，with orange inner and outer perianth segments，white ribs and no spots. The plant height is 75–85 cm，the flower diameter is 12.5– 13.0 cm，the flowering period is from the end of July to the beginning of August，the flowers are large， and the ornamental value is high. This cultivar has strong cold resistance，and it can overwinter in the open field in Harbin，Heilongjiang Province. It has good market value for development，and it is suitable for application in Northeast China.
