Abstract: There are about 213 species of wild fruit trees in Hubei province , central China , which belong to 26 families and 44 genera. Most of them are Rosaceae and berry fruit trees. They form three concentrated distributing centers : Shennongjia and its surrounding , southwest of Hubei including Yichang district and Enshi , southeast and northeast of Hubei . These wild fruit tree resources have compatibility of fruit trees resources both in south and north China. They also have the characteristics of diversity for deserving exploitatiing and utilizating. However ,there resources are threatened by the alteration ecological environment and humanps unreasonable utilization with natural resources , so the integrative research in conservation , exploitation and utilization should be strengthened.
