Abstract: ‘Lüyi Zijuan’is a new Magnolia cultivar，which was selected from hybrid between M. paenetalauma and M. × soulangeana‘Meili’. It is a small evergreen tree with dense twigs and leaves， beautiful flowers and nine tepals with outer three yellowish-green and inner six purplish-red，and a rare red cultivar in the evergreen group of Magnolia，flowering from early April to late May and a second bloom in August to September. It is suitable for cultivation and application in South China and parts of Southwest China.
