Abstract: ‘Baimi 1’is a new mid-late maturing old melon cultivar developed by crossing inbred line TMG as female parent and RY as male parent. The first female flower appeared at 19–22 nodes of the main vine，and the fruit setting ability was strong，with 3–5 fruits per plant. The fruit is long-necked cylindrical，and the peel is yellow. The single fruit weight is 3.5–4.0 kg. The flesh is yellow-orange，about 2.2 cm thick；steamed sweet face high，delicate taste，excellent quality. The yield was 60 000 kg · hm-2. It takes about 110 d from emergence to harvest. It is high resistance to powdery mildew，viral disease，downy mildew and suitable for planting in Henan Province and the Huanghuai region.
