Abstract: ‘Ziwen Qiongzhu’is a new cultivar of bamboo developed from the wild species Qiongzhuea tumidissinoda through further transplantation and cultivation. The lower and middle internodes are distributed with 1–7 purple stripes，0.2–1.0 mm wide，which initially appear light purple and gradually deepen to dark purple. The cultivar is recommended for cultivation in mountainous regions with cool and mild climate conditions and high air humidity environments. It is suitable for both ornamental and edible.
