Abstract: ‘Sulou 1’is a new Trichosanthes kirilowii cultivar selected from F1 crossing 9-1519（superior variant individual plant of‘Wanlou 9’）as female parent with HB-05 as male parent. It is a mid-ripening cultivar with about 210 d growth period，and it has strong growth potential. The shape of fruit is like a water drop. The peel of the young fruit is green，the mature fruit is dark green，and the old fruit is orange. The average fresh fruit yield of one-year plant is about 20 456 kg • hm-2 ，and the average seed yield is about 2 308 kg • hm-2. The average fresh fruit yield of two-year plant is about 24 372 kg • hm-2，and the average seed yield is about 2 791 kg • hm-2. The cultivar shows high resistance to Didymella bryoniae and anthrax.
