Abstract: Apomictic seedswere obtained byDMSO, KT and inactive pollen treatments among 9 varieties
of Chinese chive. Progenies of the apomictic seedswere obtained by selfing, and their frequencies of the poly
embryonic seedlings in the p rogenieswere increased obviously, which indicated that the polyembryonic seed
lingsmight be related to the apomixia. The frequency of the polyembryonic seedlings was raised by means of
selection, which demonstrated that the character of the polyembryonic seedlings in Chinese chive was inheri
ted.
