Abstract: ‘Neigenjie 2’is a new root mustard cultivar developed through systematic selection，using the local conventional cultivar Weiyuan Datoucai from Neijiang City，Sichuan Province as the female parent and Baimahuaye Datoucai as the male parent. The average plant height is 17.1 cm with a spread of 45.0 cm. The fleshy root exhibits a short cylindrical shape，measuring 12.0 cm in longitudinal diameter and 11.2 cm in transverse diameter，yielding an average fresh weight of 0.5 kg per root. The fresh fleshy root contains 91.50% moisture，2.40% reducing sugar，3.15% total dietary fiber，and 1.53% total amino acids. Requiring an average of 133 days from sowing to harvest，this cultivar achieves an average yield of 45 000 kg · hm^-2. Demonstrating resistance to viral diseases and soft rot，it is well-suited for autumn open-field cultivation in hilly and flat dam areas of Sichuan Province.
