Research Progress on Inheritance and Regulating Mechanism of Rind Color in Cucurbita

Abstract:

The rind color of Cucurbita is an important trait for evaluating the fruit development and maturity status. To provide theoretical basis for molecular marker assisted breeding and variety improvement,inheritance and gene mapping of rind color,color transforming,and pigment metabolism regulation in Cucurbita were summarized in this review.
