A New Early-maturing Sweet Cherry Cultivar ‘Taishan Micui’

Abstract: ‘Taishan Micui’is a new early-maturing sweet cherry cultivar selected from the hybrid seedlings from embryo culture of‘Jueze’sweet cherry cultivar,which were introduced from Ukraine. The fruit is mostly heart-shaped. Its average fruit weight is 7.8 g,the biggest is 10.2 g. It has a yellow background color,covered with red;The flesh is yellow,melting and juicy. The soluble solids content is 20.6%,2–3 percent higher than‘Hongdeng’. It has good quality. The fruit development period is about 40–45 days. It ripens in late May in Tai’an,Shandong,3–5 days later than‘Hongdeng’.
