Introgression of Dominant Male Sterile Gene of Chinese Cabbage into Purple2caitai

Abstract: The male sterile lines 98107-1 in Chinese cabbage 〔Brassica campestris ssp. pekinensis (Lour)Olsson〕was being used as a source of male sterility and the fertile lines purple-caitai (Brassica campestris L. var.purpurea Bailey) ZB3 as target parent . The gene of male sterility was transferred to the purple-caitai by crossing ,selfing , sibling and test crossing. New AB lines type I , new male sterile lines and their corresponding temporary maintainer lines of purple-caitai were abstained.
