The Numerical Classification of Flower Color Phenotype in Flare Tree Peony

Abstract:

In order to accurately define the different flower color of flare tree peonyPaeonia rockii),the phenotypic value of flower colors was measured in 466 individuals by colorimeter. A numerical taxonomical study of flower color was carried out by cluster analysis and ISCC-NBS methods. The results showed that the ISCC-NBS method was preferably corresponded with CIELab color system. According to the standardall colors were divided into eight groupswhiteyellowpale pinkpinkblueredpurple and blackand the distribution range of flower-color parameters in each distinct group was defined.
