Abstract: ‘Zhongke Ziban’is a new Paphiopedilum cultivar developed by crossing two excellent strains of female parent Paphiopedilum charlesworthii and male parent Paph. henryanum. This cultivar is characterized by strong growth vigor. The long round leaf is subleathery and the surface is yellow-green，its average length is 15.5 cm and width is 1.8 cm. The deep purple flower stalk with 1.0 flowers is nearly erect，its average length is 22.0 cm. The flower is 6.5 cm in average transverse diameter and 5.3 cm in vertical diameter. Dorsal sepal is purplish red with dark purple spots and white margin. The left and right petals are rectangular elliptic with corrugate margin，its average length is 4.4 cm and width is 5.3. Labellum is galeate and dark purplish red. The main flowering period is from December to March of the following year，and the lifetime of a single flower is 38 d.
