Abstract: Acer fabri‘Dongyun’is a new cultivar selected from a mutant of the Acer fabri seedlings. The color of winter buds were deep red；the color of leaves were changed from green throughout the year of the original to reddish brown from winter to early spring；the color of branchlets were changed from green or brown throughout the year of the original to purplish red from winter to early spring. It could be widely popularized and applied for landscaping in south of the Yangtze River by grafting propagation.
