Abstract: ‘Yongzidie’is a new azalea cultivar produced by artificial hybridization of‘Elsie Lee’and‘Baimudan’.‘Yongzidie’has double flowers，with a corolla about 7 cm，pale purple petals，androgynophore petalization，and complete sepals. The plants grow moderately and bloom luxuriantly. The natural flowering period is from late March to early April and lasts for 15 to 20 days. This cultivar is resistant to high temperature，high humidity，and it has strong disease resistance. It is suitable for potted planting and ornamental，as well as for garden and green land planting in the middle and lower areas of the Yangtze River and the south.
