Abstract: ‘Huangyi’is a new Cymbidium cultivar which was selected from the cross Cym. ensifolium var. rubrigemmum‘Junhe’× Cym. goeringii‘Huanghe’. The inflorescence is upright，20–25 cm in height，with two to four flowers. The diameter of corolla is 4–6 cm. The outer three sepals are 0.8–1.0 cm wide，about 4.0 cm long. The lateral sepals are slightly falling and the sepal is long lotus petal shape. The petal end is bent inward in an arch shape，and the petals are separated with a length of about 1.5–2.0 cm. The labellum is narrow fringe shape with numerous bright red spots. The sepals and petals are yellow. There are three red longitudinal stripes on the petals，and the middle one is longer. The flowering period is from May to January of the next year and it can bloom two or three times.‘Huangyi’is easy to propagate，and it has strong disease resistance and high ornamental value.
