Abstract: ‘Huihong 2’is a new late maturing red-fleshed loquat cultivar selected from the seedlings of‘Dahongpao’. The fruit is in approximately round shape. The average and maximum weight of the single fruit is 66.50 g and 118.25 g，respectively. The esculent rate is 75.21%，and the content of soluble solids is 12.26%. The orange peel is thick with more fruit skin powder. The fruit is sweet and aromatic with juicy and delicate-based slag texture. With excellent quality，the fruit possess the characteristics of anti-sunburn，high cold resistance and light cracking. The fruit matures about 7–10 days later than that of‘Dahongpao’.
