Abstract: ‘Ziyun’is a new Curcuma cultivar developed by crossing two excellent strains of female parent C. alismatifolia and male parent C. Petiolata‘Ziyu’. The average height of mature plants is 63.0 cm，and the longest leaf is 64.3 cm in length and 16.6 cm in width. The terminal spike inflorescence above the leaves is 63.0 cm long，with 30.6 broad ovate bracts. The average length of bracts is 5.2 cm，the average width is 4.8 cm. The upper bracts are pink to purplish red，the lower bracts are light green. Florets born in axils of bracts，in milky white，with yellow labellum apex. It flowers from June to November，ornamental period of single inflorescence in field is about 30 d，life of cut vase is about 15 d.‘Ziyun’is suitable for planting in the open field in southern Guangdong Province.
