Abstract: ‘Huahong 2’is a new apple cultivar derived from‘Huahong’mutant. The shape of the fruit is conical. The fruit shape index is 0.92. The average fruit weight is 320 g. Fruit covered with bright red，and the surface is smooth with little lenticels. The flesh is light yellow，tender，crunchy and juicy. The hardness of peeled fruit is 6.8 kg • cm-2. The soluble solids content is 15.3%. It tastes sour and sweet，with a very good quality. The fruit growth period is about 155 d. It is a new mid-late ripening apple cultivar matured in middle October in Xingcheng，Liaoning. The yield is 37 500 kg • hm-2.
