Abstract: ‘Yuanmi 18’is a new early-maturing hybrid muskmelon cultivar with superior quality. The fruit is a regular short oval with the emerald green peel，and the pericarp is emerald with many netty streaks. The average fruit weight is 2 000–3 500 g. The fruit fresh is light orange. The soluble solids content ranges 17.0%–11.0% from center to edge. The fruit is tolerant to storage and its texture is tasty and crisp. It is resistant to downy mildew and powdery mildew. The whole growth period is about 80 d and fruit developing period is about 35 d. It can be cultivated both in open and protected field.
