Abstract: ‘Zhongcui’，a new tetraploid pear cultivar，was selected from the bud mutation of ‘Cuiguan’pear. Its fruit traits are as follows：round or flat-round shape，green peel，as‘Cuiguan’in appearance，crisp flesh，nearly no stone cell，abundance juice，the average fruit weight 320 g，juice total soluble solid（TSS）12.6%，total sugar 72.3 mg ? g-1，organic acid 1.67 mg ? g-1. It matures from late July to early August in Shanghai. Flourishing time trees produce 22 500 kg ? hm-2.
