A New Red-fleshed Pitaya Cultivar‘Guanhuahong’

Abstract: ‘Guanhuahong’is a new red-fleshed pitaya cultivar selected from‘Hongshuijing’through seedling selection. The fruit is nearly oval to round. The average fruit weight is about 376.7 g and the biggest is 823.6 g. Edible rate is 79.1%. The flesh is red,with an average total soluble solids of 14.5% and titratable acid of 0.17%. The cultivar has strong self-compatibility. There are 10–12 batches of fruit per year.
