A New Hybrid Chieh-qua Cultivar‘Guanhua 6

Abstract:

‘Guanhua 6,the F1 hybrid derived from crossing D2-2-2 × B-4,is a novel chieh-qua cultivar of early-maturing,heat-tolerance and high yield. The fruits are cylindrical and long,21.7–23.2 cm in length and 7.35–7.55 cm in diameter,with dark green hairy peel and firm,light-sweet flesh 1.53–1.65 cm in thickness. This cultivar is high resistant to heat,cold,waterlogging and drought and is suitable for cultivation in spring and autumn in southern China areas with a yield of 45–65 t · hm-2.
