A New Mulberry Cultivar‘Dabaishen’

Abstract:

‘Dabaishen’is a new fresh-eating and processing fruit mulberry cultivar,which was selected from the white mulberry seedling resources in Xiajin,Shandong. The fruit is ovoid in shape. The average fruit weight is 4.37 g and the biggest one reaches 5.00 g. The fruit is milk-white and juicy with grain,bright juice and fragrant smell. The organic acid,vitamin C,soluble solids,pH,flower bud rate,fruit setting rate are 0.91 g · kg-1,218 mg · kg-1,24.8%,6.58,98.45% and 92.89%,respectively. The average production of 5-year-old tree is 20.19 kg. It has excellent quality,high yield,high resistant to disease and strong adaptability.
