A New Chestnut Early-ripening Cultivar‘Yanchang Zaofeng’

Abstract:

‘Yanchang Zaofeng’is a new cultivar selected from chestnut seedlings. The nut is dark brown,with yellow,sticky,fragrant,and sweet,the nut pulp shows good nut quality. The fruit ripens in the end of August in the Yanshan Mountain region,high yield and good adaptability. The average single bur has 2.1 nuts with the average single weight of nut is 8.0 g. It is adaptable to the chestnut garden with the thicker soil layer.
