Genotyping VvmybA1 in 59 Grapevine Cultivars and Characterization of the DNA Fragement Sequences

Abstract: The genotypes of the VvmybA1 loci in 59 grapevine cultivars were analyzed,and the results showed that the colored grape cultivars were of heterozygous loci of VvmybA1a and VvmybA1b or VvmybA1a and VvmybA1c,except for‘Fantasy Seedless’that had a homozygous locus of VvmybA1c. Most of the white-skinned grapevine cultivars were genotyped to be the homozygousity of VvmybA1a. Interestingly,seven grapevine cultivars with heterozygous loci of VvmybA1a and VvmybA1b or VvmybA1a and VvmybA1c grew white-skinned berry. Characterization of the DNA fragement sequences showed that there were some various nucleotides between the specific DNA fragments’ sequences of some grapevine cultivars.
