New Medlar Cultivars‘Yanqi’and‘Haiqi’

Abstract: ‘Yanqi’and‘Haiqi’were selected from natural species of medlar. Both of them have good quality,high yield and resistance to salt and drought. ‘Yanqi’has better fresh fruit shape while it is easy to be dried. The average weight of single fruit was 0.56 g,and the contents of soluble solids,polysaccharide,and total sugar are 20.58%,3.52% and 46.23% respectively. ‘Haiqi’has bigger fruit size and higher polysaccharide content than general medlar cultivar. The average weight of single fruit was 0. 65 g. The contents of soluble solids,polysaccharide and the total sugar are 21.61%,4.03% and 43.35% respectively.
