Abstract: ‘Jinggang Hongnuo’was selected from the open-pollinated seedlings of litchi. The average fruit weight is 23.5 g. The fruit is mostly heart-shaped with scarlet skin, which exhibits cracking resistance with pericarp thickness 1.62 mm. The flesh tastes pure sweet(20% TSS),and possess both the flavor of ‘Nuomici’and the texture of‘Guiwei’litchi cultivar. The seeds are generally aborted with an abortion ratio around 80% and flesh recovery of 77.3%.‘Jinggang Hongnuo’is a promising cultivar for its vigour growth,late-maturing,and resistance to downy mildew of litchi.
