Influence of pH Values and KCl Concentrations on Relative Flow Rate andShoot Flowering of Prunus triloba

Abstract: The influence of pH values and KCl concentrations used in floral solutions on relative flow
rate, water up take and shoot flowering of Prunus triloba was studied. The experimental results showed that the
relative flow rate of the excised shoot segments were affected by pH value and KCl concentration. The solu
tion, which maintained higher relative flow rate, increased water up take of Prunus triloba shoots and enhanced
shoot flowering by increasing the number of opening flowers. The method in terms of the relative flow rate
through shoot segmentsmay contribute to the selection of select the floral solution for cut flowers.
