Inheritance and Linkage Relationships among the Genes of Leaf Mutant andBitterness with other Five Major Genes in Cucumber

Abstract: To study the Inheritance and linkage relationships among the gene v-1 for new leaf mutant, bi for bitterfree foliage and Bt for bitter fruit with the following morphological loci: female sex expression (F) , uniform immature fruit ( u) , dull fruit skin (D) , small sp ines ( ss) , green fruit skin ( dg) in cucumber, four inbred lineswere used as parents. By investigating the parents, F1 and F2 generation, loosen linkage was found between v-1 and bi, while no linkage was detected between v-1, bi, B t with F, u, D, ss, dg respectively.
