Abstract: By adopting complete diallel crossing method, inheritance of clubroot resistance in cabbage (Brassica oleracea L.var.capitata L.)was studied in the seedling. The results showed the resistance was controlled by at least three pairs of nuclear genes, and was imcompletely recessive. Effect of backcross was very significan t and that of reciprocal cross was not. Resistance Was dominated by nuclear gene, and efect of cytoplasm was very small. Narrow heritability was comparatively high. Both general combining ability (G.C.A)and special combining ability (S.C.A)were very significant. The resistance comfonned to the additive-dominance model, and dominance was dominating. To some degree, the resistance to clubfoot disease showed a quan titative
character.
