Abstract: ‘Cuiyu’is a new seed lotus cultivar selected from the hybrid of‘E Zilian 1’בTaikonglian 36’. The flower is of single-petal type with pink petals. The fresh receptacle is green，oblate. The average carpel number per receptacle is 25–28 and the rate of seed setting is 85.5%. The fresh fruit is yellow-green，ellipse，weights 4.3 g for a single fresh fruit. The flowering stage is from early June to mid to late September. The number of efficacious receptacle is 82.5–90.0 thousand per hectare and the yield of fresh receptacle is about 8 400 kg · hm-2，or 5 700 kg · hm-2 of fresh seeds. It is suitable for fresh and cultivation in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
