A New Mid-ripening and Cold Resistant Peach Cultivar‘Zhonghan Cuixia’

Abstract: ‘Zhonghan Cuixia’ is a new mid-ripening cold resistant peach cultivar selecte from the hybridization of‘Tomijima Peach King’and‘Zhongnong Hantao 1’. The fruit is round,and the average single fruit mass is 113.0 g. The fruit surface is fuzzy,and the skin is white on the ground. The fruit pulp hardness 14.34 kg · cm-2,soluble solid content 13.1%,and titratable acid 0.34%. Fresh food cultivar,the fruit tastes sweet and sour,and the core is sticky. In Huludao City,Liaoning Proxince,the maturity stage is early August,the fruit development period is 100 days,and the yield is 27 700 kg · hm-2 at the peak fruit stage. It has strong cold resistance and can overwinter in the open without any cold prevention measures. It is suitable for spring cultivation in Huludao and the south of Liaoning Province or similar ecological areas.
