A New Yellow-fleshed Kiwifruit Cultivar‘Xianwo 1’

Abstract: ‘Xianwo 1’,a new yellow-flesh cultivar with resistance to canker disease,is selected from the budding material of Actinidia chinensis var. chinensis‘Yannong 1’. The vigor of the tree growth is strong. The fruit shape is nearly cylindrical,and the skin color is green-brown. The average fruit weight is 66.94 g,and the fruit flesh is light yellow with good flavor. The soluble solids content is 20.53%,titratable acid content is 0.9% and vitamin C content is 1.10 mg • g-1,and dry matter content is 26.03%. The fruit ripens in mid-September in Southeast Hubei. The yield of primary fruiting trees is 7 500 kg • hm-2,while that of the full fruit stage trees is 31 500 kg • hm-2.
