‘Bayuecui’,A New Early-maturing Cultivar of Chinese Jujube with High Resistance to Fruit Cracking and Shrink Disease

Abstract: ‘Bayuecui’,a new early-maturing cultivar of Zizyphus jujuba Mill. cultivar,was selected from natural pollination progeny of‘Dongzao’. The fruit has a nearly round shape,the average weight of per fruit is 9.85 g,and the percentage of esculent part of fruit is 97.7%. The soluble solids content is 34.8%,the vitamin C content 3.09 mg • g-1,and the sugar content of dried jujube is 78.2%. It is highly resistant to fruit cracking and shrink disease. It ripens in middle August in Daming areas of Hebei. The average output is 17.8 t • hm-2. It is suitable to be cultivated in Daming County,Huanghua City and Quyang County in Hebei Province and other regions with similar ecological conditions.
