A New Chinese Jujube Cultivar‘Saimisu 1’for Table and Processing

Abstract: A new Chinese jujube cultivar Ziziphus jujuba‘Saimisu 1’with early maturity,high yield,high sugar content was selected from‘Huizao’orchard in Wuqia Town,Kuqa City,Xinjiang. The fruit is nearly round with thin skin and the flesh is crisp with juicy texture. The average fruit weight is 9.6 g;The desiccation rate is 48.9%. The flesh of dried fruit is soft and delicate with sweet flavor. The average dried fruit weight is 4.7 g. This cultivar is suitable to be cultivated in the oasis and its edge of Tarim Basin. The fruit ripens in mid-August,and fully ripens in late August,and the fruit development period lasts 80–95 d.
