An Improved Cultivar of Amygdalus pedunculata‘Zhongbian 2’

Abstract: Amygdalus pedunculata‘Zhongbian 2’is an improved cultivar with high yield and strong resistance,which was derived from the half-sib progeny of high-yield and excellent mother tree grown in Guyang County,Baotou City. The fruit is oblate-shaped,big,and turns fuchsia at maturity. The weight of kernel is 0.28 g in average. In Inner Mongolia,the fruit get ripened during July and August and the grafted seedlings are suitable for planting in many regions. The average yield of seed kernel per plant in full fruit period is 0.19–0.21 kg,about 463.5–529.5 kg · hm-2.
